The Japanese brand is derived from the name of its founder, Tsuneichi Okana, who gave his products a red and white colour, which in Japan symbolizes good luck. Today, the brand boasts a range of products from secateurs and saws, to special shears (e.g. for bonsai), pruning saws, hedge saws, etc. Traditional production is based on high-quality forging made from the finest steel, which is also used for samurai swords. The ancient technological process has been complemented by an innovative steel hardening process to ensure that Okatsune retains its sharpness and longevity, while remaining lightweight and without the need to exert great force when in use.
