Product detailed description
ABSORBICA® is a compact energy absorber designed for use with a JANE lanyard to create a fall arrest system. The absorber consists of tear-webbing stored inside a protective pouch that shields it from abrasion. The opening pouch allows regular inspection of the webbing. Depending on frequency of use, it offers two harness connection options.
- Designed for use with a JANE lanyard to create a fall arrest lanyard with an integrated energy absorber with a maximum total length of 2 metres including connectors.
Absorbs impact energy in the event of a fall:
Progressive tearing of the webbing stitches absorbs fall energy and reduces the impact force applied to the user.
For users weighing from 60 to 140 kg including equipment.
Progressive tearing reduces abrupt deceleration for lighter users.
Compact size:
- Compact design for easier handling.
- Durable fabric pouch with an opening system at each end protects the absorber from abrasion and dirt and allows regular inspection.
Two harness connection options depending on use:
For frequent clipping/unclipping use a carabiner with STRING protector (included) or a MICRO SWIVEL to prevent twisting.
For less frequent disconnection use a RING OPEN connector for optimal positioning or a SWIVEL OPEN to avoid twisting.
