Product detailed description
The GRIGRI+ is a belay device with a cam-locking mechanism for belaying a lead climber or top-rope climber on indoor and outdoor walls. The anti-panic handle is particularly useful when learning to lower a climber. Ideal for top-rope; ASSIST+ mode makes rope take-up easier. For single ropes 8.5–11 mm.
Belay device with cam-locking and anti-panic handle:
- For lead belaying and top-rope belaying
- Anti-panic function: if the handle is pulled too hard, it trips and the rope automatically locks; return handle to starting position to resume lowering
- ASSIST+ mode: cam permanently blocks the rope; rope can only be taken in, not paid out without handle assistance (ideal for beginners and children's groups)
Easy to use:
Pictograms on the outside of the device facilitate rope installation. For single dynamic ropes 8.5–11 mm, optimised for 8.9–10.5 mm.

- Mechanical advantage of 3:1 reduces effort required for smooth speed control
