Product detailed description
The RIG descender is designed to meet the needs of experienced rope access workers who work in suspension daily. This compact, easy-to-use device features an ergonomic handle for excellent descent control. The AUTO-LOCK function enables easy locking at the workstation without manual operation. The cam has increased durability and its shape reduces wear. For intensive use, RIG is also available as the repairable version – RIG REPAIRABLE.
Designed for experienced rope access and technical rescue users.
Easy to use:
- Pictograms and guiding surfaces speed up rope installation
- Ergonomic handle provides good grip and excellent descent control
- The side plate can be opened even when connected to the harness
- AUTO-LOCK system enables locking at the workstation without handle manipulation
- Handle automatically switches to storage position when rope is removed
Versatility:
- Two descent variants: rope routed over the side plate or through the V-shaped friction channel
- Can be used attached to harness or at anchor point
- Once rope is locked, short ascents are possible without touching the handle
- Can be used to belay a lead climber
Durable and repairable:
- Rope friction zone reinforced with a stainless steel plate to reduce side plate wear
- Cam shape improves rope grip and limits device wear
