MR. MAGNET is a special element designed to connect the arms of a via ferrata set, developed as the first solution of its kind in the world within the via ferrata program of the ROCK EMPIRE brand.
This small segment is easily attached to the arms of the via ferrata set – usually just below the carabiners. Thanks to integrated magnets, both arms are firmly connected while still allowing quick and easy separation. Connecting and disconnecting both parts of MR. MAGNET is very simple and intuitive.
Every via ferrata enthusiast knows the recurring situation that happens when passing anchor points:
The climber stops, clips the upper carabiner above the anchor, and the lower arm slides down the cable. Reaching for it repeatedly is uncomfortable and mentally unpleasant – and in harder terrain it may even become dangerous.
MR. MAGNET elegantly solves this problem.
By keeping both arms connected, the lower arm always stays close to the upper one during the entire climb. When clipping over anchors it does not slide down – it remains within reach and easily accessible. This increases safety and ensures smoother progression.
